Where are you located?

KD by Keyona Dawson is based in Southern California and serves clients nationwide through a streamlined virtual design experience.Virtual consultations are available regardless of location, and completed garments are shipped directly to your door

Is there a consultation fee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If your project is accepted, you'll receive an invitation to schedule your virtual consultation. A $100 consultation fee is required to reserve your appointment.During your consultation, we'll discuss your vision, review your inspiration, provide professional design guidance, and determine the best approach for your garment.If you move forward with your custom design, your consultation fee will be applied toward your final investment.

Does the price quote include materials?

Yes, all materials needed are included in your quote.
 Please note: We do not accept client's fabric.
*Occasionally there is an exception under specific circumstances please ask

Do I have to come in for my consultation?

No. Consultations can be done virtually.

Question 7

What do I wear for my consultation?

Accepted Answer

Wear form fitting clothing. leggings and a fitted shirt are ideal. If you’ll be wearing shape wear with the garment you’re having made please wear it. 
No sports bra
No sweat pant/shirts 
No dresses/Skirts

Do you work with out-of-state and international clients?

Yes absolutely! we work with both out-of-state and international clients. Consultations are done virtually.

Question 9

How far in advance should I book for a custom design?

Accepted Answer

Custom designs and  special occasion: 2-4 months 
Prom: We start booking prom orders in July of the year prior to your prom. *Book early spots fill quickly. 
Wedding dress: 6 months - 1 year notice is required *Short notice may result in you receiving your garment closer to your need date

*LATE ORDERS  will be regarded as a rush order and a EXTRA 10% of your designs total cost will be applied

What happens at the consultation?

Consultations are held on Saturdays from 11am-6pm. 
We get to meet our prospective client either face-to-face or virtually. We’ll discuss your design, fabric, fit and all of your desires to bring your ideas to life. Measurements will be taken and you’ll pay your non-refundable 50% prepayment which will go towards sourcing fabric, purchasing the materials and making your pattern needed for your garment.

How long does shipping take?

Accepted Answer

Our standard shipping is USPS priority. Once your order has been completed you’ll receive a confirmation email stating that your order has been shipped along with a tracking number. Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to arrive after receiving your shipping confirmation.

Can I make payments arrangements?

Accepted Answer

Yes absolutely! During your consultation the option for payments will be discussed. There is also the option to pay with Sezzle or Afterpay.

Do you make men’s clothing?

Accepted Answer

Yes absolutely! We make men's perfect fit custom suits. It's one of our specialties.
